The Lodge offers spiritual support and programs to seniors of all faiths on our 40-acre wooded campus.

Our Christian heritage calls on us to serve each other with compassion, dignity and respect. Because of these values, we welcome all seniors to join our community regardless of the church, mosque, or temple they attend. While we are affiliated with the Methodist church, our community was created for individuals of all beliefs and embraces all faith, regardless of denomination or religious affiliation.

As a faith-based community, you will find fellowship through:

  • Bible study and pastoral counseling
  • A non-denominational chapel on-site

  • Religious studies
  • Support groups
  • Resident-led faith groups

A history rooted in faith

The Lodge is part of the non-profit Magnolia Manor Senior Living, which traces its beginnings to a 1950s study commissioned by the United Methodist Church of South Georgia. The report highlighted a lack of long-term care and housing for seniors. This led to the creation of a new Methodist ministry, one where faith is a foundational part of a community dedicated to providing high quality care for seniors.

Today, Magnolia Manor has grown to nine communities throughout southern Georgia. We’ve created an environment where active older adults live life to its fullest and share our values of joy, compassion, stewardship, fellowship and community.

We’re here to help you maintain a healthy mind, body and soul.

While we offer a full complement of programs, team members and amenities to enrich residents’ physical, mental and emotional health. We are also here to help residents fulfill their spiritual needs.

Although we provide spiritual support for those who seek it, our community is open to everyone, including seniors who are non-practicing or aren’t particularly religious. You’ll find opportunity for quiet meditation and plenty of non-denominational activities for engagement and enlightenment across the campus.

Everyone is welcome, of course, to continue their spiritual journey off campus at the house of worship of their choice (if you’re trying to find driving directions to/from your house of worship, we’re located at Veterans Parkway and Pierce Chapel Road in Columbus).
