Short-term Rehabilitation

Quality rehabilitative care doesn’t necessitate a long-term program. We offer short-term rehabilitation in Columbus, GA, with services that allow our guest residents to maximize their capabilities and help them return to their regular lifestyles.

What to expect

At The Lodge, short-term rehabilitation covers many types of care. Some people benefit from physical therapy or speech therapy. Others benefit from occupational therapy to improve fine motor skills like writing, dressing or using scissors or silverware. Because everyone has different needs, we create customized plans that address each person’s unique goals.

Many guest residents and full-time residents remain in short-term rehabilitation for about six weeks. However, individual needs may require visits as short as two weeks or as long as several months. While residents receive rehabilitation support, they have access to 24/7 care in a comfortable, attentive setting. This is the ideal setting for recuperation from a hospitalization or surgery.

While residents work through recovery, they have the full support of a multidisciplinary care team that may include doctors, nurses, therapists, nutritionists, social service teams and other specialists.
